FIRST LIGHT hails from the Oakville Appellation from a legendary
vineyard, and KANDU is from the cooler Coombsville Appellation,
both in Napa Valley. Both are 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Both are
finished dry. Both throw a bit of haze or sediment as they were
deliberately unfined and unfiltered, so as not to remove or destroy
the scintillating aromas and flavors. Both are thirst-quenching
and beg to please. Every refrigerator should have a few chilled
bottles waiting for the end of the day, grilling on the barbecue,
a spontaneous picnic, or Sunday Brunch.
